All fall and winter long, and sometimes in the warmer months, I add a spoonful of pumpkin pie spice to just about everything. 

Vegetables: Use pumpkin pie spice to season sweet vegetables like winter squash, sweet potatoes, and carrots

Pancakes: Stir in 1/2 teaspoon to 1 cup pancake batter.

Coffee: Mix pumpkin pie spice with your coffee grounds

Whip Cream: Mix pumpkin spice in whip cream, then dollop over coffee, hot chocolate, and pie.

Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice

For This Recipe You Will Need:
Ground Cinnamon
Ground Ginger
Ground Nutmeg
Ground Allspice
Ground Clove

Storing Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice: 
Keep your spices tightly covered and store them in a cool, dry place.  Pumpkin pie spice will be good for up to 1 year in an airtight container.

  • 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground allspice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves until well combined. Store in a small jar or container.
