Cinnamon Coffee Sugar Scrub Using Sugar Scrubs is much healthier than applying store-bought products with chemicals,... you know what's in your scrub compared to store-bought.  The scrub I am showing you today is made with simple household ingredients that most people have in their homes, but if you want to make some really fancy ones, I recommend buying some essential oils.

What's in the Cinnamon Coffee Sugar Scrub

  • Brown Sugar: Brown sugar is a natural exfoliate that helps to moisturize and even skin tone
  • Coffee: Coffee is also rich in antioxidants, which are thought to help promote overall healthier skin tone
  • Coconut Oil: Coconut oil contains nourishing fatty acids that help hydrate and protect the skin. These include vitamin F, which helps the skin retain moisture, and lauric acid, which has antibacterial properties.
  • Cinnamon: Cinnamon acts as a natural exfoliator for skin and is fit to be used on all skin types
  • Vanilla Extract: Vanilla extract contains specific antioxidants that are vital in anti-aging skin benefits

Benefits of Coffee Sugar Scrub

  • Scrubbing the face with coffee grounds can help to clear away dead skin cells and unclog the pores.
  • The caffeine found in coffee scrubs typically increases blood flow and may reduce the appearance of cellulite and give your skin a more even tone. If you prefer, you can reduce the coffee grounds in this recipe to half.
  • Coffee grounds contain caffeine and antioxidants. When applied to the skin, they can help prevent premature aging and reduce the appearance of dark under-eye circles and puffiness.

How often can I use a Cinnamon Coffee Sugar Scrub?

For the most benefit, you want to use the coffee scrub a few times a week, and once a week for sensitive skin.

The sugar granules might make your skin feel sticky, so be sure to rinse thoroughly after you've exfoliated. Be careful if using the scrub in the shower, as the oil can make the floor a bit slippery.

If you have never used a sugar scrub, go easy on your skin, scrub gently and rinse thoroughly.

In general, most homemade sugar scrubs will last around 2 months in an airtight jar or container in the refrigerator.
